What covid-19 digital passports are available around the world?

digital health passport

As vaccines are administered around the world, there is a growing need to have some kind of digital document to prove that travelers are protected against Covid-19.

It is important to note that, although these documents are referred to as ‘passport’, none of these applications is a passport and in any case a passport or ID card would need to be presented along with all the information contained in the application. A passport is an official document issued by a government to identify a person as a citizen of that country.

These digital applications are ‘approved’ and simply contain information about the health status of Covid-19 travelers, such as test results and eventually vaccines. The passes are likely to appear as apps on smartphones and would have to be recognized by individual governments to allow international travel.

In this article, we present a summary of the different passes that are currently being evaluated. In this article, we present a summary of the different passes that are currently being evaluated.
